Q&A with Andrea Glawe from Kroenert

We caught up with Andrea Glawe from Kroenert who'll be speaking at this years' Specialty Papers Europe 2017 in April to find out why she's looking forward to speaking at the conference.

Smithers Pira: Why do you think it is important to attend the Specialty Papers EU conference?

Andrea Glawe: We've seen an increasing market for silicone release liner for multiple applications like transfer application recently, but also an increase for the label market.

Smithers Pira: What are the latest innovations in packaging, right now?

Andrea Glawe: Labels with informative functions, NFC-technology and security systems are having a big impact on the industry right now.

Smithers Pira: What are the main challenges the packaging industry is facing and how do you think this conference can address them?

Andrea Glawe: We see increasing functional applications for functional labels, which requires both side coating and printing processes too.

Smithers Pira: What are you most looking forward to hearing at the Specialty Papers EU conference in Cologne?

Andrea Glawe: I'm looking forward to learning about new applications.
